EXCLUSIVE: Set Pictures For Jurassic World 2?

Hello Die Hards!

Big movie news today! In what might actually be a Die Cast movie exclusive I can bring you pictures from the set of a big Hollywood blockbuster, currently in production in the woods that serve as my back yard - Hawley Woods in Farnborough.

While out for a jog round my local woodlands I came across a massive fenced off area with security and a lot of work going on. Big signs up everywhere saying that access was forbidden and no photography allowed within the compound.

Fortunately for you guys I was outside the compound ;-)

So what movie could this be? Well, speculation is high and everyone on and around the site is being very tight lipped. I spoke to a number of people from set workers to security and every time I got one of two answers "I dunno mate" and "Sorry mate, can't say". But that is not the end of the story. You'll notice one of the signs that is up all over the place says "Only Ancient Futures crew allowed beyond this point".

You don't have to have mega Google-fu skills to find out that the working title for "Jurassic World 2" is "Ancient Futures". Furthermore we know from the interwebs that shooting for Jurassic World 2 has been confirmed to be taking place in the UK. Also, if you follow Chris Pratt on twitter you'll know that he was in Paris just yesterday with his wife, so not a million miles away.

What I was able to get out of the people on site is that shooting starts in a few weeks time. So, what are they building? Well, it looks like some kind of mansion. Lets start outside and work our way in:

This grand archway in construction is the only piece of set outside of the fencing that you can freely get close to and walk around. When it's finished I assume that the plywood will be made to look like stone and this would seem to be a great shot for a big driveway up to a very big house.

Closer still and things are in the early stages, there's a lot of steel framed structures going up:

There's also a ton of new gravel and fresh turf that has been laid down all over the place:

But lets take a better look at that big structure we saw the back of. Now you can't get too close to it for the fencing and the terrain, plus I only had my mobile phone out as I was trying to blend in as a jogger rather than looking like a photo journalist. So lets see what we can see:

Now that looks to be a very big mansion with manicured lawns and topiary hedgerows.

I must admit, with all the signs pointing towards Jurassic World this doesn't look very...jurassic. However, the first official photo from the set of JW2 (posted by Frank Marshall on twitter) shows a small girl in a large hall full of dinosaur bones:

Is the set currently being built supposed to be the exterior house associated with this grand hall? Maybe...

Going in a different direction Tom Hardy has been spotted in Farnborough recently (something that one of the security guards not-so-subtly dropped into our conversation along with a knowing wink). Tom currently has three movies in the production phase:

1. Triple Frontier - An action-adventure story set in the border zone between Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil. - Doesn't sound likely to be our set.

2. Fonzo - The 47-year old Al Capone, after 10 years in prison, starts suffering from dementia, and comes to be haunted by his violent past. - Meh, could be?

3. War Party - Plot currently unknown. Described as being an adventure film about Navy Seals. - Yeah, probably not.

So what can we conclude from all of this. Well, in my opinion the security guard was trying to throw me off the scent. Everything points very strongly to this being one of the sets for "Jurassic World 2". How and where that features in the movie we're just going to have to wait and see.

If shooting starts in a couple of weeks I'm definitely going to be going back up there to see if I can spot any further clues and maybe bring you some pictures of the set once it's closer to completion.

Stay tuned for more entertainment news and watch out for a new episode of The Die Cast podcast, coming very soon!
